The Eastern Carolina Aviation Heritage Foundation
celebrates the evolution of aviation in Coastal Carolina and the essence of the
American spirit that has grown from the symbiotic partnership of the military
and civilian communities that have shaped it.
Coastal North Carolina is the cradle of aviation
worldwide. Starting at the roots of manned flight
at Kitty Hawk, through the evolution of Marine Corps aviation, the relationship
between the military and coastal Carolina communities has created a protector
of freedom, as well as,  thriving
social
and economic growth.
The Eastern Carolina Aviation Heritage Foundation
offers an opportunity to experience the heritage, culture, and sense of
community and patriotism that grows from shared experiences that bond people of
different backgrounds and histories. Interactive experiences and
immersive environments of aircraft, aircraft related equipment, and the
irreplaceable human elements that make possible air support for the ground
warrior showcase the lessons of the past and make Marine aviation history
come alive.
